Episode 377: Mommy, They Don’t Like You, Part 3

This three-part series is from one of JJ’s walking videos on a cold and windy days, and we acknowledge upfront that the audio is not that great. If you are watching on YouTube, there appears to be a slight disconnect between the lips and audio at times. We do apologize, but we feel that the energy of the video can’t be duplicated in a more pristine environment. JJ is pretty raw in this video, and there’s minimal editing from the live broadcast that this was pulled from
However, we are sharing because you, too, might have trouble making friends when you move into a new town, especially if you’re in your late 40s and beyond
JJ continues her discussion about the difficulty of making friends later in life, talks about the incident that changed her mind about “Saved and Sanctified Saints” going to therapy, how she RUINED her big chance with a new boss by crying through the meeting, how she never realized how she came across to others, and how she had to re-learn social cues and who people are following a traumatic brain injury that impacted her memory. She talks about the nasty, disgusting things that average and smaller-sized people say about overweight people behind their backs
Finally, there is a fair amount of religion and faith discussion (as is typical of the walking videos). We love and accept all people on our platform, so we hope you will receive JJ’s message with grace.
